About Me

My photo
I'm an Army wife and aspiring author, published by Evernight Publishing. I primarily write M/M, but I'm starting to branch out. I'm not very good at technology, but I'm hoping this blog gives me the opportunity to communicate with other authors and readers. My life is kept interesting by my soldier, Ringo the chihuahua, and all the amazing people that I consider friends. I also work entirely too much as a coach at a local gym, a caregiver at a church nursery, and a freelance baker.

Indulgent Blog Hop

It's time for yet another blog hop. I'm so excited to be part of this one! Thanks so much to the Indulgent Bloggers for putting it on!
I think we all have that one thing we love to indulge in. For me, it's cookies. I'm a part-time, self-employed baker and I absolutely LOVE finding the perfect recipe. Recently, I found the absolute best chocolate chip cookie recipe I've ever tried. It's seriously greatness, so go forth and try it now!

Oh...right. You probably need the recipe.

Well, here it is!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  • Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  3. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.

I hope you try it out and love it. I demand you love it!

Anyway, the reason we're all here is because we love indulging in a good book. So, to celebrate this hop, I'll be giving away a free copy of Lover Unexpected. It's a delicious anthology featuring myself and 9 other awesome Evernight authors! So follow my blog, leave me a comment telling me what your favorite indulgence is, and leave your e-mail as well! Good luck!

Also, don't forget to enter the overall hop giveaway, a $100 Gift Card to your choice of Amazon or Barnes&Noble! You can enter at the very bottom of this page!

Don't forget to keep hopping!

Musical Monday 9/3

Happy Labor Day! I wish I could say I did something useful, but mostly I just drank Blueberry Lemonade Smirnoff and wrote the start of a story I'm sure will have to be scrapped tomorrow. Joy!

I was singing this song in the bathtub earlier. Both parts. I'm awesome at life.
